FULL TIME – Norway 4-0 Thailand
That’s full time and a comprehensive win for Norway. Both sides’ group stage will be defined on Thursday when Norway play Germany whilst Thailand play Cote de Ivoire. I’ll be back for 9pm for live text of Germany versus Cote de Ivoire, and the match report of this game will be up shortly. See you soon.
Loverly play from Thailand with Srimanee breaking into the box, and several Thai players have the ball but don’t know what to do and eventually Khueanpet shoots straight at Hjelmseth.
Thailand have a corner but Srimanee’s delivery is claimed by Hjelmseth.
Thailand fail to clear their lines and are nearly punished by Mykjaland whose great perserverance sees her break into the box, but she volleys wide.
Orathai Srimanee cuts in off the left-wing, and her shot seems like it was going over by drops just enough to hit the crossbar and bounce behind. Four minutes of added time.
90 mins – THAILAND SUB
Thanatta Chawong replaces Anootsara Maijarern.
Haavi picks out Herlovsen down the left, but her cross is cleared.
Mykjaland’s delivery is spilt by Boomsing, but Thailand clear. But Norway come back, and Thorsnes’ cross picks out Haavi, but her header is straight at the keeper.

Thornes picks out Hegerberg, but her shot hits Herlovsen who was offside to make things worse.

69 mins – NORWAY SUB
Emilie Haavi replaces the sublime Solveig Gulbrandsen.
68 mins – GOAL NORWAY 4-0 Thailand (Hegerberg)
Wonderful play down the right from Elise Thorsnes and she plays the ball across the six-yard box, and this time Hegerberg does score.
Good news as the Thailand keeper is allowed to continue.
Norway have a free-kick on the left-wing, about 30 yards from goal. Mykjaland whipped the ball in, there is a header down by Tofte Ims towards Herlovsen, but Boonsing bravely claims the ball, hurting herself in the process as she lands awkwardly.
Thorsnes, who has gone to right-back nearly scores as her mishit cross only just goes over.
63 mins – NORWAY SUB
Elise Thorsnes replaces Trine Bjerke Ronning who scored the first goal. She gives her captain’s armband to the keeper Hjelmseth.

Nearly a flukely fourth as Hegerberg’s left-wing cross hits the left post.
Thongsobut breaks down the left-wing but just as she could get a cross in, Mjelde gets a tackle in. Then Sungnogen has a long range effort easily saved by Hjelmseth.
Norway have the first chance of the second half as Mykjaland’s shot is saved by Boonsing.
The second half begins.
Norway make a half-time sub with Marita Skammelsrud Lund replacing Nora Holstad Berge.
HALF-TIME Norway 3-0 Thailand
Game over already at half time. Norway lead thanks to Ronning’s stunning free-kick and two great goals from Herlovsen: her first a wonderful team move and her second a strong header. Thailand will be looking for damage-limitation in the second half.
A delightful diagonal pass from Gulbrandsen nearly gives Herlovsen a chance, but Boonsing is brave as she wins the ball.
Wonderful play down the left by Hegerberg and she picks out Gulbrandsen, but the ball is just behind her and she shoots wide. Norway are playing with real swagger, possibly with one eye on goal difference.
38 mins – DISALLOWED GOAL
A surging run from Maren Mjelde sees her pick out Herlovsen in the box, who beats the keeper, but her hat-trick is denied as she is clearly offside.
34 mins – GOAL NORWAY 3-0 Thailand (Isabell Herlovsen)
Brilliant play by Gulbrandsen as she beats two Thai defenders and crosses out Herlovsen who is given a free-header by Chinwong who ducks out of the way, and the striker’s header easily beats the keeper. And then the Norwegians celebrate with a group selfie – without a phone. A real 21st Century celebration. Surely it is game over now.
Thailand have a corner, but Norway clear Anootsar Maijarern’s delivery.
29 mins – GOAL NORWAY 2-0 Thailand (Isabell Herlovsen)
This is sublime football, a goal you expect Barcelona or Arsenal to score. Wonderful passing play ends with Gulbrandsen pass to Herlovsen in the box, who takes her time before her left-footed shot beats the Thai keeper. Game over?
A long ball is played towards Herlovsen, but Boonsing is quick off her line to claim the ball, and lands carefully as not to bring the ball out of her box.
This is breathtaking from Norway. Minde’s superb slalom run into the box, beats three to get to the byline, but her cross back can’t pick out a Norwegian player.
Nearly a goalkeeping howler. Warunee Phetwiset underhits her pass-back, and Boonsing rushes out her box where Hegerberg takes the ball past her but is tackled by Natthakarn Chinwong and the chance is gone.
Mykjaland’s dangerous inswinging corner is played the far post where Gry Tofte Ims heads the ball off the head of Hegerberg and goes over the bar.
Norway have the game’s first corner. Mykjaland sends her corner to the far post where Hegerberg header deflects off a Thai defender and goes behind for another corner.

Hegerberg breaks into the Thai box, but she mis-controls the ball before she can shoot. Thailand need to settle down.
16 mins – GOAL Norway 1-0 Thailand (Trine Rønning)
Norway have a dangerous central free-kick, 25 yards from goal. Can they test the keeper? Trine Ronning curls the ball over the wall, and despite the Thai keeper Waraporn Boonsing getting a hand to it, she can’t keep it out. Great goal for Norway.
A wonderful early cross from Gulbrandsen picks out Ada Hegerberg who rises high to head the ball, but her effort hits the post and goes wide.
Gulbrandsen gets to by by-line and crosses back across to the penalty spot, but no Norwegian players are there.
A great surging run from Solveig Gulbrandsen sees Minde in a dangerous position down the right-wing, but once again Norway are met by brave Thai defending. Norway are looking dangerous, but it is Thailand who look the likeliest to score.
Thailand should be in front. Brilliant play by Kanjana Sungngoen down the right-wing sees her play a wonderful ball into the box where Silawan Intamee gets a weak connection as the ball goes wide. The ball just brushed off her thigh.
Norway are on top. Kristine Minde has a shot just outside the box is blocked.
A hopeful ball forward from Anootsara Maijarern is easily claimed by the Norwegian keeper Ingrid Hjelmseth. Earlier, the keeper had a dodgy first touch, but luckily there were no Thai players nearby.
