China’s last gasp win means they move level with Netherlands on 3 points. Group A is wide open. Can New Zealand make it even more interesting with a 1-0 win over Canada???

90+1 mins – GOAL CHINA 1-0 Netherland (Wang Lisi)

China lost their game against Canada to 90th minute goal, and today they’ve won by one. Ma Jun’s delightful ball played into the box which van Veenendaal comes for it, hesitates and Wang Lisi prods it past her! They score with their 26th shot.

Another chance for Ma Jun, but her header is saved.

Lou Jiahui replaces Tang Jiali who wasted 9 chances today.

This is superb, one touch passing from China which carves open the Dutch. Tang Jiali cuts the ball back across the open Ma Jun, who skies her shot well over.

At the byline, van de Donk cuts the ball back to Miedema, who se shot takes a heavy deflection and this takes the sting out of it, and is an easy save.

Delightful close control from Martens in the box sees her fire the ball across goal, but Wang Fei claims. Miedema was in a brilliant position there.

Lieke Martens plays a delightful ball down the left towards Miedeman who cuts the ball back across goal with a super cross to van de Donk whose shot is superbly saved from close distance from Wang Fei.

Another chance for Tan Jiali as the ball sets up for her, but it is always going wide of the left post.

How close can China go? Tang Jiali shows lovely skill to make space for herself, and on the edge of the box, and despite the attention of van den Berg gets the shot off – it beats the keeper, but smashes off the crossbar. That is her 9th shot on goal, but she has yet to find a way past van Veenendaal.

Another long range effort from Tan Jiali, and once again it is straight at the keeper. China now have had 18 shots.

Wang Launches a corner to the near post, Ren Guixan loops up a header which the keeper does well to claim.

A great pass picks out Melis in the box, and with no one nearby has a powerful shot well saved low down. Melis looks the likeliest to score from the Dutch team.

A delightful bull from Tan Ruyin picks out Tan Jiali, and cuts inside, but from close distance her shot is well saved. China waste the resulting corner.

Great chance for Chian as Wang Shanshan turns in the box, but on her left foot shoots over.

China get the second half underway.

Goalless at half-time. China have dominated the half with 69% of the possession, but have not looked like they will score so far.

Lovely break down the left from Hang Peng and tees up Ren Guixin, but she fails to hit the target.

China are coming closer with lovely interplay between Wang Shanshan and Tang Jiali, but Tang’s shot is straight at the keeper.

Wonderful from China. On the right side of the box, Tang Jiali shoots across the goal which the keeper pushes clear. Then Hang Peng plays a delightful bull to Ren Guixin, whose header is saved low down.

China waste the corner.

Wonderful stuff here. Han Peng turns and twists on the left before shooting, and the keeper has to tip the ball over. Best chance of the game so far.

Ren Guixin has a try from long range, but her shot sails harmlessly wide.

Great chance! Lovely play from Miedema in the box who shoots just wide of the right post, it took a deflection off Wu Haiyan but a goal kick is given.

China have a free-kick, 25 yards from goal. Li Dogna shoots well over.

Another great run from Tang Jiali whose shot takes a deflection of Miedema’s outstretched boot. Wang Lisi’s corner picks out Zhao Rong, whose header goes over.

Great play with Wang Lisi in the box sees her pass to Tang, but her shot is deflected behind. Wang Lisi’s corner picks out Tang at the far post, but she is leaning back as she headers into the ground. The bounces causes Van Veenendaal some troubles, but she catches it.

More brilliance from Melis, but her cross is just too high for Miedema.

Netherlands have the game’s first corner. The delivery is punched clear, but China play the ball back into the box to Middag who on the turn volleys wide of the right post.

China have a free-kick 25 yards from goal. Netherlands have a 5 woman wall. Wang Lisi shoot well over, in a routine that seemed to be similar to Ellen White’s spectacular Oscar-winning free-kick for Notts County.

China come again with a lovely ball, where Wang Sha tries an overhead kick but it hits van den Berg.

First chance of the game, and it goes to China. Wang Sha passes to Tang Jiali outside the box, she turns cleverly before curling over.

Manon Melis looks to pounce on the ball, but Wang Fei is quick off her line to claim.

KICK-OFF

Netherlands get the game underway. If the Dutch win, that will be them through to the Quarter-Finals.
