FULL-TIME – Chelsea 1-0 Glasgow City
Advantage Chelsea through Kirby, but City will be disappointed by Montgomery’s missed effort early in the second half.
Great play from Davison and Kirby on the edge of the box, and the ball falls kindly for Kirby who tries to blast the ball into the top of the net, but Alexander catches.
Glasgow City have a free-kick which Chelsea clear. Then later, Blundell clears straight to O’Sullivan whose shot on the edge of the box is straight at Lindahl. The crowd is 1,100.

Georgie Rafferty replaces Jo Love.
Bright’s long ball picks out Borges who keeps runing and running until she’s in the box but she forces a wonderful save from Alexander. City just about deal with the resultant corner.

O’Sullivan makes room on the edge of the Chelsea box before shooting well over.
Borges cuts off the left and shoots but it lacks the power and Alexander saves easily

Chelsea makes room down the right with Davison picking out Kirby. She whips in a glorious cross which Ji shoots over after making a great run
Mille Bright has two chances. Her first shot is blocked, but that makes room for her to run into and she then shoots wide of the far post from the edge of the box.
Chelsea have a free-kick on the right wing. Spence’s delivery goes to the far post towards a crowd of eight players and Alexander who palms away. The ball drops to Kirby who blasts the ball out of the stadium
City have a free-kick 40 yards from goal, but Ross’ delivery goes straight to Lindahl, well away of any orange shirts
Davison finds herself in lots of space and runs at the City defence before skewing her shot wide of the far post
What a chance for City. A free kick from 35 yards is played by Ross to the far post, headed down by Cuthbert to Kerry Montgomery who blasts over from 10 yards.
Some good play from City finds Grant down the right, but her cross/shot is easy for Lindahl
Chelsea get the second half started.
Chelsea have been the better side in the first half, but City have shown glimpses that they can get a goal tonight. With away goals counting, that may prove vital next week.
HALF-TIME Chelsea 1-0 Glasgow City
Chelsea leads at half-time thanks to Fran Kirby’s wonder strike. What can City do in the second half?
Rafferty gives away a stupid free-kick on the right-wing, following Grant. Ross’ delivery reaches the near post and Grant flicks her header wide of the far post.
Ji picks out Aluko unmrked on the left, the ball gets stuck under her feet as she cuts inside and Alexander makes the save
Kirby draws another mistake from McCulloch who clears behind for a corner. The corner comes to nothing as City clear the ball off Flaherty.
39 mins – GOAL CHELSEA 1-0 Glasgow City (Fran Kirby)
Mini-Messi strikes. Fran Kirby spins off Cheryl McCulloch and then from the edge of the box launches a powerful shot which smashes off the underside of the bar and over the line, giving Lee Alexander no chance.
Chelsea have the ball in the box with Aluko and Kirby trying to get a shot off. City defend, but the ball falls to Kirby whose shot hits Corsie. Some appeals for handball but nothing given. City clear the resultant corner.
City have another corner. Ross’s effort is cleared by Bright and the chance goes.
City have a corner. Ross tries to work a training-ground routine, which Flaherty spots and heads clear only to Erin Cuthbert whose long-range effort goes wide.
Davison’s mazy run is ended by Jo Love’s sliding challenge which is deemed a foul. The free-kick 30 yards from goal, in a central area is scuffed wide by Ji.
Chelsea have a free-kick from about 40 yards. Ji’s effort is poor and picks out the one-woman wall of Abbi Grant, but she mishits her clearance which goes behind for a corner. Luckily for City, Flaherty heads over from the corner. The Chelsea defender was penalised for a foul, so her header would not have counted
City are starting to have joy down the wings, and Leanne Ross gets in down the right, but her cross is too high.
Wonderful play from Hayley Lauder down the left and she plays a delightful cross to Abbi Grant, but her first touch is too heavy and Claire Rafferty clears
The ball falls kindly for Fran Kirby, but her shot from 20 yards is blocked by Rachel Corsie. And then Bright has a shot from 30 yards that goes wide of the left post.
Great play from Abbi Grant and Leanne Ross gets City down the right wing, Ross’ cross across the six-yard box nearly picks out Denise O’Sullivan, but Flaherty gets a vital touch, allowing Lindhal to claim.
Patient build up from Chelsea makes room for Davison, but her cross is cleared.
City are currently playing defensively, crowding out Chelsea’s danger players. Not offering much going forward so far.
Kirby looks for Eniola Aluko, but her cross can’t pick the England striker out.
Gemma Davison breaks down the Chelsea right, her cross takes a defelection and that allows City keeper Lee Alexander to claim the ball ahead of Fran Kirby.
The game gets underway
Chelsea will go into the tie tonight the favourites, despite City’s European pedigree. Also, City have a Scottish Cup Semi-Final on Sunday, whereas Chelsea’s domestic season is over. The second leg will be played next Wednesday.
