Cuthbert’s through ball takes a deflection off Foley and into the path of Shine whose shot is saved at close range.

City have a free-kick on the left. Ross’ delivery is cleared to Crilly whose looping volley is easily saved
Docherty tests Halbert at the near post, but the keeper saves.

Ross’ corner is chested in by an unfortunate Rangers defender.
Ross’ cross picks out Cuthbert whose volley forces Halbert into a super save low down to palm the ball round the post.

Erin Cuthbert replaces Abbi Grant.
Montgomery breaks into the box, passes to Lauder whose shot from a narrow angle is saved at the second attempt by Halbert.
Lauder breaks down the left, and plays a tantalising cross but Foley makes a superb interception to stop the danger.

Nicola Docherty replaces Rachel Corsie
Rangers nearly equalise as by the goal line Swanson shoots, but the effort smashes off the post.
67 mins -GOAL Rangers 0-1 GLASGOW CITY (Clare Shine)
Quick incisive passing from City sends Shine into the box, and she calmly places the ball into the bottom right corner.
64 mins – Glasgow City Subs
Hayley Lauder and Leanne Ross replaces Rhonda Jones and Georgie Rafferty.
Fairlie’s deep cross nearly picks out Grant, but Sloey makes the crucial interception. Grant would have been left with a tap in otherwise.
City have a free-kick, 25 yards in the left channel. Whyte tries to pick put Corsie, but the Rangers defence deals with it.
Another City corner. Whyte’s delivery is cleared to Fairlie whose weak shot through a crowd of players goes wide.
City have their first corner which Fairlie plays short to Whyte. Her cross is dealt with by Rangers and the move breaks down with a City offside.
Close again for City. Montgomery played Fairlie into the box but her left-footed shot curled wide of the far post.
A City cross is cleared to McMurchie who chested the ball down and then volleyed wide
Good positive play from Rangers, but the ball wouldn’t fall kindly for Turner or Kirsty Howat.
City get the second half underway
Half-time: Rangers 0-0 Glasgow City
City have edges the first half in terms of possession, but Rangers have restricted their chances. Apart from that late Susan Fairlie chance, Rangers’ defending has been superb. And they’ve shown some attacking threat to worry the City defence.

City’s Rhonda Jones is booked.
What a miss. Megan Foley’s missed interception allows Grant down the right, she crosses along the six-yard box to Fairlie, but somehow she shins her shot wide of the right post.
Rangers have a couple of dangerous set-pieces but each time City clears.
Rangers are restricting City to long range efforts. Montgomery shoots from 35 yards, but it’s simple for Halbert.
Rangers have a free-kick, 25 yards from goal in the left channel. Chelsie Watson’s curling effort is caught by Cunningham at the near post.
Rangers have another corner, but Cunningham punches clear and City break. McMurchie plays a dangerous ball into the box, looking for Grant but Gillian Sloey clears.
Better from Rangers. Good build up on the edge of the City box sees Katey Turner have her shot deflected just wide of the near post. And then Gemmell’s driven corner finds Kirsty McLaughlin who fires wide under pressure from Georgie Rafferty.
City have another shot from distance, this time from Lauren McMurchie whose effort goes wide of the right post.
Rangers’ keeper Halbert mishits her goal-kick to Grant, but the City player’s shot is saved.
Rangers fail to fully clear, and Kerry Montgomery tries from 25 yards, but her dipping volley just goes over
Fairlie’s cross picks out Whyte but she can’t get the required contact on her header.
Rachel Corsie’s long cross-field ball picks out Fairlie, but her cross is cleared. City recycle the ball and nearly score as Rhonda Jones’ cross hits the side-netting.
